Dewaxing without trichloroethane :
yes it is possible

Removing wax after plating operations ( engines, landing gear ), is still largely carried out by dissolving it with a chlorinated or brominated solvent in a vapor degreaser.
Though this method proves to be efficient, it has been targeted by environmental legislation, and its replacement has become inevitable.

Two new wax removing processes developed by Magchem, have today proved themselves.

A 4-step process, including a particularly efficient emulsifiable oil - D SOLV, and an alkaline cleaner Soluwax. These products are approved by Roll Royce, P&W and GE for Soluwax.

A 5-step process which places an Automatic Wax Collector in the heart of the system, before the emulsifable oil step.

Reductions in consumption, wax recycling, an increase in the life expectancy of the bath, savings in running costs ; the Magchem wax removal techniques are a real added value in the wax removal processes used in plating.
